VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Veterinary Assistants assist the doctors to ensure the best possible care for our patients and clients. They have direct contact with our patients and must love to work with animals and be dedicated to the care and comfort of animals. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for assisting the doctors in the examination and operating rooms, running laboratory procedures, taking radiographs, and working in the pharmacy. Technicians must be proficient or possess the ability to become proficient in the areas of client communication, treatment of hospitalized patients, rehabilitation, and operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment. They will also be responsible for walking pets, cleaning kennels, exam rooms, and client areas. Veterinary Assistants are independent, multitask-oriented workers that love being part of a fast-paced team.
